Mechatars

Mechatars is a series of new toy robots with a novel online component. Players fight battles using their toy robots and then plug those robots into a computer, uploading the results to the online Mechatars game, where they can continue the war. The toys were developed by iLoveRobots and the online game was developed by Schell Games, the studio for whom I worked at the time.

Mechatars was my second released game title as a professional game developer. I helped to program the game's user interfaces and front-end network communication. I also designed and built the games analytics tools which allow designers and other developers to chart gameplay trends (such as win percentage, gear equipped, games played, etc...) and then cross-filter those trends against certain variables (such as the player's level, number of logins, etc...).
